Beating up the cold / Recipes

Hi! Today is a bit cold day and I think that I caught a cold yesterday, so I decided that it’s the right time to make myself some hot drinks to protect from illnesses. Also, I thought that I’m probably not the only one right now who is fighting with a cold and it would be a great idea to share these recipes on my blog. You can also make yourself these drinks if you aren’t sick, because it is very delicious and should keep you warm on cold autumn days like this.

Chai tea

For one cup of this drink you will need :

  • 150 ml / 5 oz Milk
  • 200ml / 7 oz hot water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Few cardamon pods
  • 1 tsp black tea
  • Few cloves
  • Few black peppers
  • Couple of anise stars
  • Some grated ginger
  • Some sugar

Take a pot, add water and turn the heat on. While it is heating up add all the other ingredients to the water. You can always add more or less ingredients, it all comes down to your taste. Stir everything until it starts to boil. Then add milk, mix everything one more time and turn the heat off. Serve the drink and enjoy!

Orange drink

This one is my favorite while I’m sick, because when you have a cold and you need to drink tea as much as possible I get so fed up with it, that seems like this drink makes the day brighter. So, for one cup of this drink you will need :

  • Few oranges (approx. 3-5 oranges)
  • Some grated ginger
  • Honey

First squeeze the juice out of oranges. Again take the bowl, add all the ingredients and warm it up on the stove! Thats it, you can take a sip now!

The third drink is just a simple tea, but the effect is really good. For this drink you will need:

  • A cup of hot water
  • Grated ginger
  • Lemon
  • Honey

Everything is so easy, just cut some lemon slices, put them into a cup, add some grated ginger and honey and mix everything together. You can also squeeze the lemon slices a little bit, so the lemon would release some juice. Then add hot water and mix. Enjoy!

You can see that all three recipes are very easy, but the taste is really good. Also, the ingredients are very simple, which you can probably find at your house. I really recommend you to try them and if you will, leave me a comment of how it was!
